There’s a few things about this outfit that I’m eager to share with you. First, this incredibly soft JCrew sweater. It’s one of my first purchases from theem in a really long time. This other sweater being another recent purchase. I love the button detailing up the sides and how cozy it feels. I debated between sizing up or keeping a more fitted look. Going with the fitted look made me feel like I could wear it to the office without being too casual.
Second up is this necklace. Another shop I haven’t frequented in a while was Bauble Bar. I love the layered look and the gold discs catch the light differently, really adding dimension. The one downside is that while it is adjustment, it falls just low enough to draw your eye right down your cleavage if you’re wearing an open-necked top so beware if that’s something you’re concerned about.
Lastly, and definitely not least as this is really fun for me, is my “new” fur jacket. I picked it up while we were in Tokyo at a vintage shop. There’s so much vintage shopping there that you could just run into a number of them on the same block. The sheer overwhelming amount of secondhand Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Hermes and Chanel was absurd. I’m really surprised this didn’t have an effect on the prices since supply is incredibly high and demand clearly lower. I saw this coat hanging up and really loved the white fur. It’s light enough not to feel bulky, but obviously warm. The cropped length works great on me too. While I wouldn’t typically buy fur, I felt like I could make the exception since it was secondhand and surprisingly only $130!!
What’s your take on fur, new or otherwise?
