Ever since we started thinking about taking a trip to Scotland, I have been wanting to buy an authentic Scottish fisherman knit sweater. When I went with my family back in 2008, I really liked them, but didn’t pick one up, much to my chagrin. Now I’m doing my homework, figuring out what cable knits I like the most and what stores carry the best selection. I can’t wait to get my hands on one!
Which is why for the past few weeks I’ve been obsessively stalking them on eBay and have been blown away by how inexpensive they can be. I scored this one last week for under $20 and I have another one coming this week which I can’t wait to get. It’s a little big, but that’s fine since I can layer some stuff under it and I can’t even tell you how beautiful the cables are. Maybe that’s why I’ve been so into them… as a knitter I can really relate to how much time and effort goes into these hand knit pieces and what a piece of art they really are.
Also, great deal on this necklace! I went into Anthropologie a couple of weeks ago because I was trying to up my step count on my FitBit and wanted to get some walking in at the mall. {any excuse to shop right?} I fell in love with a dress which I wanted to think on before pulling the trigger and on Friday it went on sale. So I decided to hit the SoHo location and pick it up. Not only was it on sale from $158 to $89.95 and then it was an additional 30% off in store! So of course I grabbed it, and this necklace which was marked down to $9.95 and an additional 30% off. Craziness right?!
