I hope you all had a wonderfully relaxing weekend. The Hubs and I caught up on all of our magazine reading, I edited more of our Scotland/London photos and got in two barre classes which I really needed after taking my first Akin Soul class on Friday. I haven’t taken a Soul class in since well before our trip and phew was I hurting by Friday night.
Friday after Soul I met up with a friend of mine who’s at a growth stage at her company and we exchanged ideas on audience growth, paid marketing strategy, and just company growth. Putting on my problem solving hat really got my creative juices flowing, and it was really fun just talking marketing strategy and the cool ad tech solutions that are out there now.
Do you ever have that? A great conversation, a great day, or something that just sparks your brain and gets your juices flowing? I love days like that. Scotland felt like one big brain stretch, especially our day in Edinburgh. The history, the cobble stones, even the mistiness all morning couldn’t dampen my cheer. Completely layered with a down jacket and my field coat, I was damp and my hair was soggy, but I was happy as a clam in deep water.
Oh, and randomly, today’s the Hubs’ and I 8th dating anniversary! Yipes time does fly!
