On Sunday the Hubs and I went into the city and did our traditional Sarabeth breakfast with a stroll down 5th avenue that we used to do every few weekends when we lived in midtown, but have only done a few times since we bought our house. I had really wanted to see the China Through the Looking Glass exhibit at the Met so was thrilled when the Hubs suggested it. I’ll share pics from the exhibit next week after I’ve had a little time to go through them.
Whenever I know we’re going to be spending a considerable amount of time out I make sure to dress for all of the elements and ‘pack’ accordingly. Because museums are notorious for being overly air conditioned, I didn’t want to wear a tank, but I also didn’t want to pack a sweatshirt. Compromise was found in this really light silk striped tunic that kept my arms covered but was light enough to walk around and not feel like my skin was being stifled. I’m also super cognizant of sun of my face so in addition to 40spf, I really try wearing a hat to shade my eyes in addition to sunglasses.
Since I’m always toting around extra stuff, I love my simple tote to cart around my book, my camera, and a bunch of other ‘essentials’.
