I can’t believe that it’s September 11th. 16 years after 9/11 and I still remember being in my dorm room, lazily waking up and watching the second plane hit the towers. I remember watching the buildings smoke, not quite understanding how a plane could be suspended up that high after flying into a building and then with horror as the buildings fell to the ground.
But today I choose not to be maudlin. There’s nothing like an upcoming trip to tickle your senses and take over all of your focus. Our upcoming trip to Scotland, yes again, and our voyage out to Orkney is what I want to think about right now. I already have my suitcase packed mentally and am looking to add in a few pieces for some mucking about in the highlands. These lace distressed jeans are a definite must!
If you’ve ever done a driving tour of northern Scotland, please send your recommendations. We’ve already done a ton, but a good scenic view, or a particularly yummy dinner is never wasted on us.
